If you have children, you are called to be a mother! Simple, isn’t it?
Now how do we fulfil this calling to the best of our ability? Is it by being a WOHM*? A WAHM*? A SAHM*? We are all unique individuals. Even when He calls two women to be SAHMs, we will execute the call differently. Now that’s a relief isn’t it?
Recently, in the newspapers, there was an interview of a high flying career lady who says that although she works long hours, that makes her a better mother! Do I agree with that? Nope.
But who am I to judge her? Maybe that’s what God has called her to be. And truly she may be a better mother because of that! The point is we need to know what God is calling US to, not our sister, our friend, our neighbour! IOW don’t be a kayoh*!
Be clear! No matter what He has called you to, you will face struggles and obstacles. But if you are clear in what He has called you to, then you will not waver. You know you are walking in His paths and He is indeed faithful!
When we are not clear, everything seems to be a better place to be at! If you are working, then you want to stay home. If you are a SAHM, then you wish you could go back to work. There is a price to pay for everything. But when you are answering His call on your life, you know that your rewards are eternal. Don’t give up!
If you are not sure what His call on your life is – pray and ask. And keep on praying and asking until you get an answer. And then….OBEY!
Remember, “to obey is better than sacrifice”. 1 Samuel 15:22.
