Buying and collecting books are often my downfall!
And since good Christian books are seldom available here, I spend lots of time and money looking at international sites (usually based in the US) for good deals. The problem is that while I can usually find good deals on eBay or Vegsource, the shipping costs often kill whatever savings I make by buying used!
Now there’s another option for those who are looking for alternatives – eBooks! eBooks are simply books published in an electronic form (for a more detailed explanation of it, check out Wikipedia’s definition).
Why do I love them?
Firstly, I get my books without incurring any shipping charges!
Secondly, I get my book almost immediately! Talk about instant gratification! Lol! Most eBooks will be emailed you in 24 hours, usually less.
And thirdly, I get to choose whether I want to read off the computer or print it out. And even when I do print it out, I can even choose what to print and what not to print!
Yes, you will have to spend time and money (ink and paper cost) to print it out. But it is nowhere near the exorbitant shipping prices one has to pay!
So if you are like me and love books but hate to pay shipping, now you have another option!
And if you are so inclined, you can even write an eBook yourself and self-publish it! No need to go to any publisher and beg them to take a look at your manuscript!
