Come Monday, I would be back to cooking our family’s meals. Yep! I have been on a holiday the past 1.5months. I had done absolutely NO cooking and yet the entire family has been blessed with homecooked meals.

All courtesy of the many ladies and one man (thanks Pastor Andrew!) from our Church who so graciously offered to cook for us – yes all 8 of us (excluding baby at this point in time) the past 1.5 months. Not only did they cook for us, they even delivered right to our door step! How cool is that? 🙂

On top of all that, I even had a friend’s mom bless us with her yummy cooking! We have been so, so, so, so blessed!

Anyhow, as all good things need to come to an end, we will be back to our normal routine of things come Monday. Boo Hoo!

So now, I am dutifully doing up my Menu Plan and Grocery List and will start stocking up our fridge, freezer and pantry. How fun – not!

  1. Hi there!! I haven’t seen you for awhile then realized you are here!! As to the Chinese curriculum, we were using what the schools did, but my hubby thinks that is way too much. So right now we are just using a “Yue Du” reading comprehension? book I got at a store that sells the schools curriculums. It has about 3 paragraphs on a subject, then 3 questions (not much) and then usually has new phrases, usually 4-6. I have my oldest write the new phrases and then quote the definitions to me. After 5 lessons I have a test (though that totally freaked him out!!). My 1st grader is learning to write though and he only writes a character 5 times, and it is only like maybe 5 characters. Technically each day, but he is easily distracted and we have alot going on and well….he isn’t where he should be, but he is only first grade. In Taiwan we use traditional characters and the bopomo phonetic system……….not pinyin.
    Ok, that’s my book!!

  2. What wonderful service and compassion, to feed your family for this length of time.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could do that for every new mother?

Thanks for popping by! Yes, I am ever so grateful for the ladies doing this. They really didn’t have to but they did it anyway!
