In a few days, God willing, I turn 40. Psst…I share the same birthdate as the late Princess Diana 🙂

And in the past week I have been trying to be reflective inbetween diaper changes and cooking, cleaning and homeschooling the children. It is supposed to be a milestone of sorts, I suppose? But no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to summon up any profound thoughts. Or perhaps I just ain’t no profound person?! 😀

Well, profound or not, our Singapore givernment sure regards me as being old, having sent me a letter telling me that I am covered by ElderShield some months ago.

Let me go ponder some more and you can check back in a few days time to see if some revelation has dawned upon me 🙂

While I haven’t decided what to do on the day itself, all I know is I am certainly not cooking! 😀

Sharing is caring, please pass this along!

  1. 40 and 7 children in….and you’re still going strong in the Lord, faithfully fulfilling His call for your life and serving with a passion, vision and much of His grace and amazing strength…

I’m just starting out, almost 30 and having my 1st child, and already the path ahead looks daunting…(esp when I look around at screaming kids, disappearing parents and stressed out families….) Your life and honesty here has encouraged my heart so much that with God, all things are indeed possible. I’m pressing on …. and learning to lean on the Lord….=) Thanks you for giving your life to the Lord. =)

    • Thanks Jess. That was sweet. And about the screaming kids? Don’t look at them. Just like going into labour – don’t listen to those horror stories! 🙂 Exciting times ahead!

  2. Happy bday! Hope you have a memorable day and may you enjoy your 40s as much with your kids and family.

Love reading our blog re tips on managing and esp thinking abt the menu planning thingy when I am abroad.

    • Thanks Ladies but NOT yet 40 lah! Let me enjoy the last few days of being in my 30s, can? 😀

  3. Happy Birthday in advance! 😉

It’s just another day, yah? I loved turning 40. Being pregnant at 41 is no fun tho.
