Since I have absolutely no mood to go and mark the work these lovely children of mine have left on my table, I decided to distract myself by thinking on the births I have had.
This was triggered by the friend who’s been induced. Coz she was told that it was harder for an anaesthetist to be found if she were to go into labour over the weekend. So I started wondering about the probability of going into labour over a weekend.
At first I thought the probability would be very low but then dh reminded me that for me, labour and birth did occur either on or very near a weekend! Lol!
So, here’s some trivia for you –
- #1 – went into labour Sunday night. Birthed on Monday.
- #2 – went into labour Sunday night. Birthed on Monday.
- #3 – went into labour Saturday night. Birthed on Sunday.
- #4 – went into labour early Thursday morning. Birthed Thursday morning. (Vesak Day, a Public Holiday)
- #5 – went into labour Saturday morning. Birthed Saturday night.
- #6 – went into labour Thursday afternoon. Birthed Thursday night.
- #7 – ???
Interesting, eh? 🙂 So who wants to take a bet that I would be either going into labour or birth over one of these weekends? 🙂
